Privacy policy

Piano Puddle is run by Travis Dickerson, ABN 59697694352, in WA, Australia. This page says what we keep about you and your children, why, and how to have it deleted. Questions: hello@pianopuddle.com.

What we keep

Sharing with a piano teacher

Only if you choose to. When you open your child’s teacher’s invite link, đŸ‘Ș Parents asks which children to share. The teacher then sees each shared child’s first name, level, stars, when they last played, how many stars and levels they earned this week, and the notes they find tricky. Nothing else: not your email, your other children, Puddle Points or your shop. You can stop sharing any time in đŸ‘Ș Parents, and the teacher stops seeing it straight away. Teachers can also stop seeing a child, or delete their own account.

What we don’t do

Who helps us run it

Stripe and Resend may keep the details they need (your email, and payment details with Stripe) on servers outside Australia, including in the USA. They protect it under their own privacy policies. Your children’s names and progress stay on our server in Australia.

How long we keep it

Until you delete your account. You can do that any time in đŸ‘Ș Parents, “Delete this account”: your login, every child and all their progress go straight away. Copies in our backups are gone within 30 days. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we keep about you, to correct it, or to delete it: email hello@pianopuddle.com. If you’re not happy with how we handled it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Children

Accounts are made by a parent or guardian, 18 or over, who adds their children. Children never sign up or give their own details. Teachers can’t add children or see any child a parent hasn’t shared with them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll email you before it does.
